A Welcome from the Club Captain Alan Richardson ...

It is an honour, a privilege and indeed a pleasure to welcome you all to what I consider to be one of the best golf courses on the East Coast. At the start of your round you can enjoy the magnificent view from the 1st tee overlooking the North Bay, Yorkshires very own Riviera. Then onwards down the1st, a short par 4 slight dog-leg with a few hidden dangers! The 2nd is a long par 4 fairly straight which then takes you over the road and onto the 3rd, this is the start of the most pleasing aspect of this course as it takes you up and over the hill and onto undulating lush tree lined fairways with excellent greens.

I know you will all be enjoying your golf!!!  But please take time to enjoy the wonderful views over the moors and the sea. The par 3`s are quite challenging but very nice holes, particularly the 11th,160 yards down hill, over  a stream to a two tier green, a really beautiful golf hole, the 15th (enjoy the view from the tee) 180yds down hill to a large green with an interesting slope!! This takes you back over the road to the final 3 holes, and then some much needed refreshments.

Please make time to sample some of our chef’s fine food, it is a delight, and I am sure our staff will make you most welcome. Although I have only mentioned one or two of the golf holes on our wonderful course I can assure you they are all equally enjoyable .
